Make sure to slowly go all the way down, then pushing all the way up. The whole repetition must be performed in a controlled way. Most people have too sloppy form and focus more on going up and down very quickly.
By doing this you miss having the muscle in a proper stretched out position
If your calves are quite resilient we advise to add in a couple extra sets to allow for muscle growth. Because you are walking on your calves every day, they are quite used to getting work done already!
